Don Sowers
President
Don and his late wife Brenda opened the doors to DRS in 1991 as an auction business. Mr. Sowers started his career managing McLean Trucking’s salvage business in Winston-Salem for 19 ½ years. When McLean went bankrupt in the mid-1980s, he suddenly had to find another way to make a living. The dream of D.R.S. suddenly became a reality.
Don enjoys traveling, fishing, & spending time with his family.
Nathan Sowers
Vice President of Operations
Nathan Sowers manages all operations at the auction warehouses in Advance, NC. He oversees all employees, manages all incoming freight, & sets plans in motion. His wife Lindsey also plays a huge part in human resources at the Advance & Reedy Creek locations. They are kept busy by their two boys, Mason & Landon. In Nathan's free time he enjoys hunting, traveling, camping, sports, and attending Pinedale Christian Church with his family. We would never leave out "Hank"he works security at our Advance location.
Jim Mitchell
Vice President of Operations Retail Store
Jim Mitchell, son-in-law to Don Sowers, runs the operations at the DRS Retail Store in Reedy Creek. He is very busy keeping the shelves stocked for the community. Ceretha, his wife is a principal for Forsyth County Schools. They have two grown boys, Chase (wife Carley) & Justis. In Jim's free time he loves playing golf, sports, traveling, & spending time with his precious family.
