Behind the Scenes
Don Sowers and his wife and co-owner, Brenda Myers Sowers oversee the day to day operations. D.R.S. Sales opened the doors in Advance, NC in 1991 primarily as an auction business. The business expanded to include additional warehouses for storage and has added two additional sales monthly to dispose of quality merchandise. Mr. Sowers started his career managing McLean Trucking’s salvage business in Winston-Salem for 19 ½ years. When McLean went bankrupt in the mid-1980s, he suddenly had to find another way to make a living. The dream of D.R.S. suddenly became a reality.
